Junior County Hockey continues to offer an important development experience within the new talent system.
- Junior County Hockey is the new name for the junior county hockey programmes previously known as Development Centres (DC) and Academy Centres (AC)
- County Hockey offers a representative opportunity for the U12-U17 age groups, that aims to provide a different experience to regular club or school hockey
- It is one route to progress to the next stage of the talent system, and counties can nominate players for Talent Academy and/or England Age Group trials, as can clubs & schools.
- Training sessions are complemented by festival matches against other counties in the East Area, with players working towards selection for a final Competitions Day.
Cambs run 4 age groups for both boys and girls:
- U13
- U14
- U15
- U17
